It’s been a month. A. MONTH. I seriously can’t believe Sofia is a month old already, it seems like two seconds ago we were in San Jose waiting (not so) patiently to have her. Here is a quick little update on our beautiful girl.
She is a tyrant!
That is all.
I kid … I kid.
She is actually totally awesome. She basically never fusses except for when she is too hot or too hungry. She is still sleeping great at night and she is just generally a cooing little sweetheart …. except …
(and this is where the tyrant nickname comes in handy)
She eats ALL.DAY.LONG. Seriously, like all day. She is HUMUNGOUS! She looks more like a three month old than a one month old and her little arms and belly are getting that round butterball look.
I am not exaggerating when I say that all her little 0-3 month t-shirts look like the half shirts some streetwalker would wear (if streetwalkers wore little buttoned vests). She has grown out of everything I brought for her (luckily the grandparents just got here with an – I kid you not – entire SUITCASE full of pink adorableness for the little one! Thank you grandparents!)
(Sofia with daddy, Aiman, Hippo, Monkey, Uncle Lucky and his beautiful daughter – and Aiman’s future girlfriend – Tahi)
She also does not want to be put down, like, ever. This may be due, in part, to the fact that we don’t really have any fun bouncy chairs or swings or anything to set her down in, so if we do put her down it is on the bed or in the car seat, neither of which are all that fun. Now that she is staying awake for longer periods during the day this poses some how-to-get-things-done-and-also-not-listen-to-a-screaming-baby-for-hours-at-a-time problems, but we are working though it.
So … basically … she’s awesome in every possible way, but she’s still a tyrant.
We are so in love.
